SHAKESPEARE SCHOOLS' FESTIVAL

SSF will be holding its 10th Anniversary Festival in Norwich in November 2010. As the UK’s largest youth drama festival, SSF will also be in 80 other cities and towns giving 14,000 young people the chance to experience the genius of Shakespeare through performance. The Shakespeare Schools Festival works in partnership with the National Theatre and the National Youth Theatre who provide workshops to enable teachers and young people to produce accessible Shakespeare at its most innovative and entertaining. Four local schools stage four different half-hour plays each night. Details of participating schools and their performance night can be obtained from the Box Office. |

Trippingly on the Tongue: Shakespearean Verse in Performance Speaking the verse; an introduction to how actors access the meaning through verse. 4. Shakespeare the Icarus way: Hamlet and Chorus Working practically with verse and choral exercises exactly as Icarus did in rehearsals
