Following an emotionally charged and rapturously-received run in January, The Nimmo Twins’ Karl Minns returns to the Playhouse with his one-man show Sortabiography. Join Karl armed with just a Powerpoint and a ratty radio as he leads you through his life story – a tale of death, dark times, crime and punishment, to getting paid to dress as a woman, fame, getting beaten up, losing his head, finding his feet and somehow managing to find it all funny.
A story of loss and redemption, despair and hope, Yarmouth and Norwich, showing the tenacity of the human spirt, how comedy can take root in the darkest depths and the realisation that the bravest thing we can ever do is to try and write our own story. All this and lots of jokes, too.
In association with Norfolk Mind.
“Blisteringly raw and life-affirming…a brave, thought-provoking, clever, moving and astonishingly hilarious show” - Norwich Evening News
‘Beautiful writing and storytelling and moments of theatrical magic the best would die for. If you’ve ever felt inadequate or lost, I implore you to go and see it’ - EDP 24
